Brief History: Betty had a difficult childhood, growing up with a Military General who never wanted a daughter. After her mother died in her preteens, the General sent little Lizzy off to boarding school. She preformed well and eager to please her father, pursued a career with the military. It was there, working on the Super Soldier formula that Betty met Bruce Banner. Her specialty was to examine the psychological effects the formula had on the human test subjects. The rest is pretty much history! She fell in love with Bruce and they moved in together.
While working on the gamma radiation problem of the formula, Bruce submitted himself to become a test subject for a machine that would counteract the radio active effects. Betty watched with terror as he entered the machine and it back fired. Bruce Banner became the Incredible Hulk! Once the military discovered him, the two were constantly on the run. They traveled to South America, Bruce took up classes to control his anger and kept a wristwatch that would monitor her heart rate. Eventually the couple found their way back to the United States and to KSU where each of them applied for a position, hoping to settle down as professors- hoping that the Hulk was now under control.
